Concrete Chai – Strong Black Tea Chai Blend, 6-Spice (Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamom, Clove, Pepper, Star Anise)

Concrete Chai – TMG Blend | Black Tea with Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamom, Cloves, Pepper & Star Anise If you've ever wanted a chai with enough backbone to stand up to a splash of milk and a long, cold morning, Concrete Chai is built for exactly that. This bold black tea blend pairs a robust tea base with a stacked lineup of warming spices, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, black pepper, and star anise, for a chai that's spicy, layered, and unmistakably assertive. Beyond its strength, Concrete Chai delivers the kind of depth that comes from real whole-spice blending rather than a light dusting of chai flavoring. Tea drinkers who want their chai to actually taste like something, along with anyone building out a serious loose-leaf collection, will find Concrete Chai a reliable, full-bodied staple. This is chai with structure. Bold, Spiced, and Built to Last Concrete Chai opens with brisk, malty black tea, then layers in warm cinnamon, sharp ginger heat, floral cardamom, pungent clove, peppery bite, and the sweet licorice depth of star anise. The result is a chai that's spicy and full-bodied rather than soft or one-note, with enough structure to hold its flavor through milk, sweetener, or a long steep. This isn't a chai that disappears once you add cream. Concrete Chai is designed to stay assertive from the first sip to the last, with the black tea base anchoring all six spices instead of letting any single one take over. How to Brew It Steep 1 teaspoon of Concrete Chai per cup in just-off-boiling water for 4 to 5 minutes for a classic black tea strength, or simmer it directly in milk or a milk-water blend for 8 to 10 minutes for a more traditional, stovetop-style chai. Strain well before serving, and sweeten with honey, sugar, or your preferred sweetener to balance the spice. Because this blend contains caffeine from its black tea base, it's best suited to morning or early afternoon brewing for those sensitive to caffeine later in the day. For iced chai, brew it double-strength and pour over ice with milk for a bold, spiced cold drink that doesn't get watered down. Beyond the Mug: Other Ways to Use It Concrete Chai isn't limited to a teapot. Simmer it into a concentrated syrup for chai lattes, cocktails, or drizzling over desserts like ice cream, pancakes, or baked apples. Use brewed chai as a poaching liquid for pears or as a flavoring base for custards, puddings, and baked goods like spice cake or cookies. The blend's six-spice profile also works well steeped into a reduction for glazing roasted nuts or folded into homemade granola for a chai-spiced crunch. A Modern Take on a Centuries-Old Tradition Chai has roots stretching back centuries in South Asia, where spiced tea blends developed regionally long before "chai" became shorthand for a specific flavor profile elsewhere in the world. Traditional preparations vary widely by household and region, with families often keeping their own preferred spice ratios passed down through generations. Concrete Chai takes that tradition and builds it around a deliberately bold, six-spice blend designed for drinkers who want their chai to read as strong and structured rather than light or one-dimensional, a contemporary spin on a long-standing format. Stored for Freshness, Spice Intact Store Concrete Chai in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture, and the blend will hold its flavor and aroma for up to a year. Because it's a whole-spice blend rather than a finely ground mix, it holds its potency longer than pre-ground chai powders. Quality Concrete Chai should smell strongly of warm spice the moment the container is opened, with visible pieces of cinnamon, star anise, and cardamom mixed throughout the black tea leaves. Easy Brewing Tips If you prefer a spicier cup, let the blend steep a minute or two longer rather than adding more leaf, since over-steeping the spices brings out more heat and depth. For a creamier, more traditional chai, simmer the blend directly in milk rather than steeping in water and adding milk afterward, this draws out more of the spice flavor. Adjust sweetness to taste, since the spice blend's intensity means many drinkers prefer a slightly sweeter cup to balance the pepper and clove. Pour Something With Real Backbone Imagine a mug of Concrete Chai on a cold morning, the smell of cinnamon, clove, and star anise rising before you've even taken a sip. Imagine a pot simmering on the stove, milk slowly taking on a deep amber color as the spices steep in. Concrete Chai offers all of that: a bold, structured spice blend, a robust black tea base, and a chai that holds its ground no matter how you take it. Order your Concrete Chai, brew your first pot, and taste a chai built with real substance.
