What's Included: ZER6003PL-ULF-CPM Flush Valve FAQ Q: Is the ZER6003PL-ULF-CPM compatible with existing plumbing systems? A: Absolutely! The ZER6003PL-ULF-CPM is designed for versatile installation, making it suitable for both new construction and retrofit applications. It features a standard 3/4" top spud connection and comes with an adjustable tailpiece, allowing it to adapt to various plumbing configurations. The exposed design simplifies installation and maintenance. However, when retrofitting, it's important to ensure that the existing urinal fixture is compatible with the ultra-low 0.125 GPF flow rate. Some older urinal designs may require modification or replacement to function effectively with such a low water volume. For optimal performance and to ensure compliance with local codes, we recommend consulting with a professional plumber, especially when retrofitting this valve into an existing system. Q: How does the battery-powered sensor system work, and how long do the batteries typically last? The ZER6003PL-ULF-CPM utilizes a sophisticated 6VDC motor actuator coupled with a battery-powered sensor system. This technology offers several key advantages: The sensor detects user presence and automatically activates the flush when the user steps away. Battery power eliminates the need for electrical wiring, simplifying installation and allowing for placement flexibility. The system is designed for low power consumption, extending battery life. Typical battery life can range from 2 to 3 years, depending on usage frequency. A low battery indicator alerts maintenance staff when it's time for replacement. The manual override button ensures functionality even if the batteries are depleted, providing a fail-safe option. This combination of features ensures reliable, hygienic operation while minimizing maintenance requirements and maximizing water savings. Detailed Features & Benefits Ultra-Low Flow Technology: The 0.125 GPF flow rate is the standout feature of the ZER6003PL-ULF-CPM, offering unprecedented water conservation: Reduces water consumption by up to 87.5% compared to standard 1.0 GPF urinal flush valves. Can result in significant cost savings on water bills for high-traffic facilities. Helps buildings meet or exceed the most stringent water conservation regulations and green building standards. Contributes substantially to LEED certification points in the water efficiency category. The AquaFlush TPE diaphragm with clog-resistant by-pass ensures effective flushing despite the minimal water volume. Ideal for facilities looking to maximize their water conservation efforts without compromising on hygiene or performance. Advanced Sensor Technology: The battery-powered sensor system of the ZER6003PL-ULF-CPM offers several key advantages: Touchless operation enhances hygiene by eliminating the need for user contact with the flush valve. Automatic flushing ensures the urinal is always clean and ready for the next user, improving restroom cleanliness. The sensor's design is optimized to prevent false activations, further conserving water. Battery power allows for easy installation without the need for electrical wiring, reducing installation costs and complexity. The manual override button provides a backup flushing option, ensuring functionality even in case of sensor malfunction or battery depletion. Low power consumption design extends battery life, reducing maintenance frequency and costs.
