Zucca

Behold the Sauce-Pocket—Pumpkin-Shaped Pasta Perfection Help your sauce take center stage with Zucca, a fun pasta shape that helps ensure every bite is bursting with flavor. Its built-in sauce pockets make for a delicious dining experience. Zucca, which means “squash” in Italian, resembles small pumpkins or squash, adding a charming look to any pasta dish. It features curved, ridged sides and a small, cup-like opening. This design is perfect for holding sauces, as the ridges grab thick sauces, while the center fills with rich flavors and cradles bits of ingredients like vegetables or meats. Like all Sfoglini pasta, Zucca is made with premium semolina flour, a staple in traditional Italian pasta for centuries. We also use a traditional bronze die extrusion method to give the pasta a rougher surface for sauce to cling to. Zucca’s unique shape is ideal for hearty, creamy sauces, making it a favorite in comforting, rustic dishes. Try it with Bolognese Sauce or double down on squash with our recipe for Baked Zucca with Butternut Squash and Gruyere.
