Zinc Oxide Paste (for Pastern Dermatitis)

Equiderma Zinc Oxide Paste was inspired by our Skin Lotion, containing the same active ingredients in a thicker, powerful zinc oxide paste form. It's a potent protector in the fight against pastern dermatitis, also known as scratches, greasy heel, dew poisoning, or mud fever. Its UV protecting and drying properties will help you overcome the heartbreak and frustration of scratches. Expert Care FAQ How does this paste help with pastern dermatitis (scratches)? Equiderma Zinc Paste provides a powerful, medicated barrier that cleanses the skin of environmental irritants and seals out the moisture that fuels skin issues. By maintaining a clean, dry environment, it supports the skin’s natural ability to recover. Can I use this on summer sores? Yes. Our formula is designed to stay in place, creating a defensive shield over the area. This helps maintain skin integrity, protects the site from fly irritation, and supports a healthy, flat recovery. Is this effective for white muzzles and sun protection? Absolutely. It acts as a 100% physical UV block. Because it is thick and water-resistant, it stays on sensitive pink skin much longer than traditional sunscreens, providing consistent protection throughout the day. Does it stay on in wet, muddy conditions? Yes, that is its superpower. The thick, emollient base is 100% waterproof. It won't run off in the rain or rub off in the mud, making it the ideal choice for horses in 24/7 turnout. How should I apply it for the best results? For skin issues, we recommend cleansing the area first with Equiderma Neem Shampoo. Once dry, apply a thick layer of Zinc Paste. The Chlorhexidine and Miconazole in the formula will work beneath the barrier to support healthy skin.   Easy. Effective. Essential. Cruelty free and proudly made in the USA.
