Our Zinc blend is is hand-crafted with premium oils and ingredients that have been reported to have UVA and UVB blocking ingredients, including organic red raspberry oil and meadowfoam seed oil, then mixed with non-nano zinc oxide to create a physical barrier desired in such lotions. While our Zinc blend is not to be considered a sunscreen and has not been tested for an SPF rating, we carefully crafted it with ingredients that have shown in externally conducted laboratory tests to offer protective and repairative qualities for the skin: Red Raspberry Seed Oil is widely reported as a likely source of naturally high SPF, with reports showing it shields skin from both UVA and UVB rays Zinc Oxide is widely used in commercial and mineral sunscreen products for its ability to physically block both UVA and UVB rays; we use non-nano Zinc Oxide, meaning our Zinc blend is safe for coral reefs Meadowfoam Seed Oil is reported to not only contain natural SPF qualities, but its effect on the skin is said to make skin cells more resilient to free radical damage. It is also reported to aid in healing from existing sun damage by serving as an emollient (creates a protective layer and seals in moisture) How Do I Use It? Simply open the pump and use as any other lotion. Yes, this will go on white! Non-nano zinc sits on top of the skin as it is not absorbed, which for many is part of its appeal. You will need to rub in to make transparent, and reapply as needed, such as after exposure to water.
