"Ziggy Stardust" -Ula Nero

Titled "Ziggy Stardust," this striking mixed media portrait by visual artist Ula Nero pays tribute to David Bowie’s legendary alter ego in rich tones of fiery orange, crimson, and deep red. The dynamic composition overlays street art spray paint elements, metallic accents, dripping paint, and stenciled lettering across a textured collage background. With its expressive movement and electric color palette, this original canvas brings bold glam-rock character and urban aesthetic energy to modern living rooms, music dens, or contemporary art collections. Artist Bio: "Born under the weight of communism in Białystok, Poland, Ula Nero discovered early that creativity was her escape from suppression. Art became her voice — a place where expression could flourish freely. This passion carried her to the Państwowa Szkoła Sztuk Plastycznych in Supraśl, where she earned her Fine Arts Diploma in Graphic Design and was awarded solo exhibitions at Dom Jansena and Palace Buchholtz. Ula’s artistic vision is shaped by a life lived across continents. From Eastern Europe and the United Kingdom to New York City, rural Pennsylvania, and now the Pacific Northwest, each place adds depth to her evolving style. Her current work explores mixed‑media portraits, bold abstract compositions, vibrant animal studies, and expressive landscapes. Working with acrylics, spray paint, collage, pencils, pastels, markers, and unconventional tools, Ula approaches each canvas with raw physicality. Brushes often give way to hands, sponges, and knives as she pours emotion directly into the surface, creating pieces that feel alive with movement and energy. Now based in Mukilteo, Washington, Ula continues to develop new and exciting series. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to exploration, resilience, and the power of visual storytelling. Check back often — the journey is always unfolding."
