Zebra, TC2X Series Mobile Computer

Zebra TC22 Handheld Mobile Computer Introduction The Zebra TC22 is a compact Android mobile computer designed for businesses that need professional barcode scanning and enterprise performance in an affordable smartphone-style device. Its large 6-inch touchscreen, integrated barcode scanner, Wi-Fi 6/6E connectivity, replaceable battery, and rugged construction make it an excellent choice for retail, inventory management, hospitality, light warehouse work, manufacturing, and on-site business applications. Unlike a consumer smartphone paired with an external scanner, the TC22 combines an enterprise Android computer and purpose-built barcode scan engine in one device. Employees can scan products, check inventory, receive merchandise, fulfill orders, capture photographs, access business applications, and communicate with coworkers without carrying multiple devices. The TC22 is the Wi-Fi-focused model in the TC22/TC27 family. Businesses that need cellular connectivity for delivery, route sales, field service, or off-site work should consider the Zebra TC27. Common Use Cases Retail Inventory: Perform inventory lookups, price checks, shelf replenishment, cycle counts, stock transfers, and markdown management. Order Fulfillment: Pick online orders, verify products, manage curbside pickup, and support buy-online-pick-up-in-store workflows. Receiving: Scan cartons, products, purchase orders, and incoming inventory as merchandise enters the facility. Light Warehouse Operations: Support picking, packing, replenishment, shipping verification, and inventory management in small and mid-sized warehouses. Hospitality: Manage inventory, ticketing, loyalty programs, mobile transactions, and customer-facing applications. Manufacturing: Scan components, track work-in-process inventory, record production information, and complete quality-control tasks. Asset Tracking: Scan equipment, tools, computers, furniture, and other serialized assets throughout an organization. Available Barcode Scan Engines The Zebra TC22 is available with different integrated scan engines, allowing businesses to match the device to their working distance and barcode requirements. SE4710 Standard-Range 1D/2D Imager: Designed for general-purpose barcode scanning at normal working distances. This option is ideal for retail, receiving, inventory control, hospitality, healthcare supply management, and light warehouse applications. SE55 Advanced-Range 1D/2D Imager with IntelliFocus: Provides greater scanning flexibility for businesses that need to read barcodes both nearby and from farther away. It is a strong option for warehouse shelving, stockrooms, manufacturing, and environments where labels are not always within arm's reach. Both scan-engine options can read common 1D and 2D barcode formats, including UPC, Code 39, Code 128, QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417, and barcodes displayed on electronic screens. Product Details Device Type: Enterprise Android Handheld Mobile Computer Operating System: Android Enterprise with Google Mobile Services on supported configurations Display: Large 6-inch touchscreen with durable Corning Gorilla Glass Barcode Scanning: Choice of SE4710 standard-range or SE55 advanced-range 1D/2D scan engine Wireless Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6/6E, Bluetooth, and NFC Camera: Available front and rear cameras for documentation, proof of condition, video communication, and image capture Memory and Storage: Multiple memory and storage configurations are available to support standard business applications or more demanding enterprise deployments. Battery: Replaceable rechargeable battery with standard- and extended-capacity options available depending on configuration Durability: Rugged, dust-resistant and water-resistant construction designed to survive daily business use, repeated tumbles, and accidental drops Payment and NFC Applications: Supports contactless workflows such as tap-to-pay, digital loyalty cards, tickets, identification, and compatible NFC business applications. Optional Pistol Grip An optional trigger handle transforms the TC22 from a palm-style mobile computer into a pistol-grip barcode terminal. The handle gives workers a comfortable physical trigger for repetitive scanning and is especially useful for receiving, cycle counting, order picking, inventory audits, and shipping verification. The removable design allows the same TC22 to be used as a slim handheld device for customer-facing tasks and as a trigger-style scanner for warehouse or inventory work. Businesses should confirm whether the selected charging cradle accommodates the device with the trigger handle or protective boot installed. Battery Options The TC22 uses a replaceable battery, giving businesses more flexibility than consumer devices with sealed batteries. Standard-capacity batteries are suitable for typical retail and general business shifts, while extended-capacity options provide additional runtime for scanning-intensive warehouse, manufacturing, and inventory applications. Spare batteries can be staged for multi-shift environments, and compatible battery chargers allow depleted batteries to be charged separately from the mobile computer. This makes it possible to keep devices in service while spare batteries are prepared for the next shift. Charging Options USB-C Charging: A simple choice for individual users, offices, mobile employees, and low-volume deployments. Single-Slot Charge-Only Cradle: Provides a dedicated home base for one TC22 and keeps the device upright, organized, and ready for the next shift. Single-Slot Cradle for Devices with a Rugged Boot: Designed for TC22 units that remain inside a protective boot during charging. Single-Slot Device and Spare-Battery Cradle: Charges the TC22 while also preparing a spare battery, making it useful for extended shifts and scanning-intensive workflows. Multi-Slot Device Cradles: Allow several TC22 units to be charged in one organized location. These cradles are well suited for retail stores, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and shared-device fleets. Multi-Slot Battery Chargers: Charge multiple spare batteries without occupying the mobile computers, helping businesses maintain a rotation of ready-to-use batteries. Workstation Connect Cradle: Supports compatible Zebra Workstation Connect deployments, allowing the TC22 to connect to an external monitor and compatible desktop peripherals for workstation-style use. Some Zebra cradles require the correct power supply, USB cable, DC cable, and country-specific AC line cord to be purchased separately. Verify the complete power configuration before ordering.
