The Zeake FF Pencil is a heavy sinking pencil built to cast a mile and hunt the whole water column — off the sand, along the jetty, or from the boat. A forward, low-set weight (Zeake's "front-fall" design) keeps the bait nose-down and stable in flight, so a compact 40-gram body launches into the wind and reaches fish that sit beyond your normal range. On the drop it falls horizontally, rolling side to side with a flashing, wounded-baitfish flutter. On the retrieve the tail kicks back and forth while a flat-topped head keeps the lure from climbing to the surface — the usual weakness of a sinking pencil — so you can pick a depth and hold it there. A tiny lip under the nose and a keel at the tail grab water and telegraph every wobble back to the rod tip. Swim it steadily or work a stop-and-go, and the thick-gauge stainless through-wire stands up to whatever eats it. At 110 mm and 40 g it lands right in the wheelhouse for Southern California surf and inshore work: halibut and corbina off the beach, calico and sand bass around the rocks and jetties, and barracuda, bonito, and schoolie yellowtail when you can reach them from the boat. Every color wears UV-coated 3D eyes to trigger the bite. Type: sinking pencil · Thick-gauge stainless through-wire · UV-coated eyes · Stock hooks: #3 trebles on #4 split rings
