Zafiro Blue Spruce

Zafiro Blue Spruce gives you the bold blue color people love in a spruce, but in a size that fits more comfortably into everyday landscapes. Its gem-like blue needles bring strong year-round color, while its slow growth rate of just 3-6 inches per year helps it stay manageable. With a broad upright form and a more rounded profile than many other blue spruce selections, this compact dwarf tree is a smart choice when you want a polished evergreen accent without giving up too much space. Hardy to Zone 2, Zafiro also offers the kind of cold-weather reliability gardeners appreciate in demanding climates. Brings stronger color to smaller spaces Many blue spruces are admired for their color but become harder to place as they grow. Zafiro gives you that same rich blue look in a plant better suited to limited-space gardens. Its vivid needles create a crisp, eye-catching contrast against green shrubs, flowering perennials and neutral hardscaping. That means you get the color impact you want without having to make room for a much larger tree. Makes planning the landscape easier Because it grows only 3-6 inches each year, Zafiro is easier to work into foundation plantings, mixed borders and focal-point beds. You can enjoy its shape and color without worrying that it will quickly outgrow its place. Its broad upright habit and rounded profile also give it a neat, finished appearance that works especially well in more structured landscape designs. Offers an upgraded look over common dwarf blue spruces Zafiro is an excellent alternative to the standard “Dwarf Blue Globe Spruce” often used in suburban landscapes. For you, that means a more distinctive plant choice with outstanding lush blue needles and a refined habit. It brings familiar evergreen value, but with a more memorable presence. Stays valuable through tough winters Cold climates can be hard on landscape plants, but Zafiro is hardy to Zone 2. That gives you added confidence when choosing an evergreen meant to provide structure and color year after year. When winter settles in, this spruce keeps your landscape looking alive, grounded and well cared for.
