Zacaton Wall Hanging

Sculpture from Caralarga's Space Jewelry Collection. Handmade wall hanging made of raw cotton and sanseviera fibers wrapping. The Zacaton is one of their first and most classic interior design pieces. A wall hanging whose beauty stands out for its simplicity: a row of raw cotton attached to a hoop covered with braided cotton thread, in which we combine techniques of tassels and yarn ties in various sizes, thicknesses and arrangements, finished with a tuft trimmed at the bottom. Zacatones are made entirely by hand by Queretaro artisans in our workshop, located in the old El Hércules textile factory. These decorative accents will make your walls look full of life, thanks to their natural versatility to inhabit any type of space.   Small 7 x 35 x 5 inches 18 x 90 x 12 CM    Large 7 x 41.3 x 5 inches 18 x 105 x 12 CM   All pieces are made to order and ship within 8-10 weeks.   Caralarga is a textile design and production workshop headed by Ana Holschneider. They use raw cotton and textile waste to create a line of jewelry and interior décor unique for its simplicity and timelessness. Production began in 2014 when the team of weavers and designers discovered in these materials the possibility to rethink and explore waste as a medium to create unique and sustainable jewelry and apparel pieces. Their line of “space jewelry” evolved from their textile jewelry line as a new way of working with raw cotton through volume and hand braiding, culminating in interior decor pieces that seek to transform spaces through timeless designs that highlight the beauty of raw materials.
