YSL Myself L'Absolu

Myself L'Absolu is the third addition to YSL's MYSLF men's fragrance collection, launched in 2025 and created by Givaudan perfumer Christophe Raynaud — an intensified and warmer interpretation that delivers a bold, confident, woody-spicy scent celebrating individuality and self-expression. It opens with a beautiful freshness of bergamot, cardamom and ginger that feel uplifting and bright without being too sharp. Then comes the orange blossom which smells richer and more intense than most, thanks to the Scent Trek accord sourced from YSL's own gardens. The base is all about patchouli which is warm, woody, and a touch smoky — masculine enough without straying into heavy aftershave territory. Performance testing confirms L'Absolu offers the longest longevity at 10-12+ hours on skin, with above average sillage that projects clearly in the first few hours before settling closer to the skin. Longevity and sillage are much better than the EDP and Le Parfum. Reviewers consistently call it the standout of the MYSLF lineup, with comparisons most often landing on the original MYSLF EDP and Dior Sauvage — L'Absolu is more intriguing and better performing than the EDP, with a spicier, more radiant character. If you want a versatile, high-performance woody-floral with genuine compliment potential and exceptional staying power, a decant is the smartest way to experience why this is the best of the MYSLF releases.
