You Do Cards?!

"YOU DO CARDS?!" is the typical response Bill gets when others find out he does card magic... as a coin guy! The contents of "YOU DO CARDS?!" include a variety of workable, commercial effects for your audiences. All but one are quick to perform and require minimal sleight of hand. But that is not all! Rounding out the contents are contributions from some of Bill's friends including Edward Oschmann, Joe Cole, Curtis Kam, and John Carey! CONTENTS INCLUDE: Citino Meets Duffie and Girdwood: A sandwich effect with a surprise ending. Playing the Numbers: A semi-automatic, created card at number-style effect where the spectator is free to make all choices. Head Over Heels and in the Pocket: An Inversion-style effect that is perfect for a strolling environment, involves multiple spectators, and includes a card to pocket and vanished deck ending. Lazier Than Everybody: A shuffled-deck version of Simon Aronson's "Everybody's Lazy" that streamlines the effect and makes it suitable for repeat performances. Repulsive Fusion: An homage to Alex Elmsley's "Repulsive Aces" plot where the helper cards cleanly vanish after finding the selections. Where are helper cards? They're found back in the center of the deck that's been held by a spectator from the start! Stick(y) Man (Edward Oschmann): Ed shares his fantastic variation of the classic "Chicago Opener" that is well worth your time. Just a Peck (Joe Cole): Joe shares his magical, interactive, quirky version of the Color Changing Deck that uses a miniature deck of cards. Larry on the Ladder (Curtis Kam): Curtis shares a killer combination of Larry Jennings' "One to Five" and Dr. Jacob Daley's "Jacob's Ladder." Progressive Coins to Purse (John Carey): The incomparable John Carey gives us a straightforward, easy coin effect where coins vanish from the hands and appear back inside a purse. ADVANCE PRAISE FOR "YOU DO CARDS?!" "Bill Citino is a true thinker. He is always working on and thinking about magic and construction. He is sharing some beautiful magic in 'You Do Cards?!' that you will truly love learning and using!!!" - John Carey "Bill has written a card book (really?!) that is packed with fantastic, highly commercial, and fully entertaining card magic routines. I underlined those words because creating close-up magic with cards that consistently follows a three-act structure is rare these days. But those who take the time to develop and refine magic with the dramaturgy that has stood the test of time find their routines to be exponentially more entertaining, baffling, magical and fun. Maybe you are 'Bill, the Card Guy' after all?" - Michael Breggar "Very seldom does a card magic book make me want to grab a deck of cards and work through every item. I did with "You Do Cards?" by Bill Citino. It's all material you will learn and use. I know I'll be using some of them. In addition, the writing, layout and illustrations are first rate. Boy, can Bill do cards. Recommended!" - Tom Dobrowolski "We all know Bill from his incomparable coin work, but please don't sleep on his card material. Bill has an innate ability to take existing routines and take it in a delightfully different direction! No pipe dreams here, just solid working routines from a working pro. Highly Recommended!" - Kyle Purnell "Bill Citino brings his signature creativity with coins to the world of playing cards in his new book, 'You Do Cards?!'. This collection is a true variety pack of powerful effects, featuring color-changing decks, stick figures, floating keys, card-at-number routines, and much more. I highly recommend this book to all card magic enthusiasts-you're sure to find gems that will earn a place in your working repertoire." - Mike Powers BOOK SPECIFICATIONS 86 pages 9 Total items Hardcover 7" x 10" trim size Hand drawn illustrations by the author
