Yosegi-lined Octagonal Tea Caddy - Maple Small

Product Specs: W81 × D81 × H93mm This octagonal wooden tea caddy reveals its most intricate detail when opened. A band of colorful Yosegi wood peeks between the body and lid, while the interior and inner lid are beautifully lined with the same traditional Japanese marquetry. Made from a combination of naturally contrasting Japanese woods, each piece highlights the beauty of the wood without added color. Crafted by Odawara-based woodworker Junno Kobayashi, the caddy showcases her specialty in Yosegi and precise joinery. The octagonal lid is carefully fitted to slide smoothly into place from any direction, reflecting the remarkable precision behind her work. Kobayashi creates everyday wooden objects meant to be touched, used, and enjoyed for years.
