Reserve Yooperlite + Hematite Sphere 5.68" — UV Reactive Glow

This 5.68 inch diameter, 9.36 pound sphere is carved and polished to highlight the stone's natural character. In daylight it appears an understated gray — but under a 365nm UV light, it transforms, fluorescing a vivid yellow-orange-red that has to be seen to be believed. Yooperlite is the trade name for syenite rock containing fluorescent sodalite — a term widely used across the market, though technically it applies to specimens from Michigan's Great Lakes region. A genuine natural phenomenon and a one-of-a-kind piece built for table accent, gifting, or any collector who appreciates the extraordinary hidden in the ordinary. This rare Hematite-Included Yooperlite features fluorescent sodalite set in striking red syenite — a variation that sets it apart from standard Yooperlite the moment you lay eyes on it. While most Yooperlite appears as an understated grey in daylight, the natural red hematite (iron oxide) inclusions in this piece have stained the feldspar matrix over centuries, giving the stone a rich, complex, and earthy presence that stands boldly on its own — long before a UV light enters the picture. Designated for our Reserve Collection, this rare hematite variation stands apart — a bold, one-of-a-kind natural statement few collectors will ever come across. Round acrylic stand included.
