Yooperlite Sphere 5.61" — UV Reactive Glow

This 5.61 inch, 8.86 pound sphere is hand-carved and polished to highlight the stone's natural character. In daylight it appears an understated gray — but under a 365nm UV light, it transforms, fluorescing a vivid yellow-orange-red that has to be seen to be believed. Yooperlite is the trade name for syenite rock containing fluorescent sodalite — a term widely used across the market, though technically it applies to specimens from Michigan's Great Lakes region. A genuine natural phenomenon and a one-of-a-kind piece built for table accent, gifting, or any collector who appreciates the extraordinary hidden in the ordinary. Round acrylic stand included.
