Yoni Yielding

Consciously or unconsciously, we are always creating. Creating our lives, our passion projects, our relationships, as well as our offspring. With a subtle nod to artists like Georgia O’Keefe and Judy Chicago, this floral pattern celebrates the beauty and power of the yoni. The yoni is a portal to the womb, the sacral chakra, and the center of creativity and the entire Universe. The water that defines this space, especially during the gestation period, represents flow. When we yield to the current of life, we yield more progress, more prosperity, and more proof of our purpose. May the richness of the gold and the sweetness of the dark chocolate in this crown support you as you allow life to turn you on and remind you of just how fertile you are, literally or proverbially. This authentic Ankara print fabric is made of 100% cotton. It was printed via the wax- resist method that originated in Indonesia and was industrialized by Dutch manufacturers of African prints in the mid-nineteenth century. Traditionally, Batik fabrics were created by hand-painting intricate designs onto cloth using beeswax. Colors were then added to the design and the waxed areas would “resist” the penetration of the dye. When the wax was removed, the patterns were revealed. The modernized process utilizes digital printing and the uses of wax, during and after printing, vary. Some of our Ghanaian-sourced fabrics are quite stiff, while the softer ones have no trace of wax at all. The wax on Yoni Yielding  is barely detectable. On a scale of 1-10 for stiffness, Yoni Yielding is at a 7. Pantone Colors: Downtown Brown19-1223, Bright White 11-0601, Nugget Gold 16-0952 Material: Cotton Size: 1 yard
