Yeye - CNY

MK - 034R MATERIAL: Vinyl HEIGHT: 6.5 inches tall "The piece features a loving grandfather as most of us see him, hobbled by time, a kind and gentle soul. From the back though, we confront how some see him, as a target of their irrational rage. The piece is jarring as it embodies the disturbing disconnect of racial hatred that strips innocent victims of their humanity."- Vinyl Pulse The CNY edition features Yeye dressed for the lunar new year in his lucky red coat and gold shirt. YEYE is the second installment of the Truth to Power line of designer toys following THE MESSENGER, a tribute to Colin Kaepernick’s historic protest. MunkyKing has collaborated with YARMS design studio to recreate the likeness the company founder’s grandfather in vinyl. MunkyKing hopes to raise awareness of the reality of AAPI hate and violence and is donating a portion of the proceeds to support #stopasianhate and other AAPI initiatives.
