Yeshe Tsogyal Standing Statue Gold Plated 14.5"

Beautiful gold-plated standing Yeshe Tsogyal statue measuring 14.5" tall (including backdrop).  Yeshe Tsogyal, the great wisdom queen, is Tibet's best-known dakini and female master. She is revered as the foremost disciple and consort of Padmasambhava, the eighth-century master credited with a primary role in establishing Buddhism in Tibet. The "Victorious Ocean of Wisdom," Yeshe Tsogyal was born a princess and suffered many trials while in meditative solitude; through those trials, she gained fuel for her practice and ultimately gained realization. She is viewed as a female Buddha who took human form to propagate the dharma, and continues to motivate and encourage practitioners - both male and female - today. More than just a historic figure, Yeshe Tsogyal is an active presence in the life of contemporary practitioners. She is considered an emanation of Saraswati, Samantabhadri, Prajnaparamita, and Vajrayogini, and a reincarnation of the Buddha Shakyamuni's mother, Maya. Displaying her image can help to powerfully support your practice. The base of this statue can be opened for filling and consecration, as well as the main body of the statue. There is an opening in her back, as well as an included filler piece for when the filling and consecration are finished.  There is a minor scratch on the red backdrop, due to the fact that it is where the edge of her scarf touches against it. As you can see in the final picture, this blemish is unable to be seen when the backdrop is installed, even when viewed close up.  Size: 14.5" including backdrop          13" w/out backdrop Please note:       Items over $200 need to have extra insurance as USPS and Shopify only automatically insure shipments up to $200. Extra insurance prices range from $.89 (for shipments up to $300 value) to $17 (for shipments that cost $2000). If you purchase an item that is over $200, you will receive an invoice for a shipping insurance fee. Again, these fees are generally very small- usually a dollar or two at most. In these situations, you can still change or cancel you order at that point if you would like to. We are always willing to help, however you need.        Shipping insurance only covers the item’s damage or loss while the shipping agent has possession of the item, i.e. pick up, transit, and delivery. Once the item has been delivered to the residence, damage and loss are not covered. If you feel that your residence is unsafe for porch delivery, please make a note at checkout or email us, and we can request a signature upon delivery. There will be a $3.70 charge from USPS for that service. Thank you for your understanding, and for supporting the Dharma.
