Yellowstone Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon 93 Proof 750ml

Yellowstone Select is the flagship Kentucky straight bourbon from Limestone Branch Distillery in Lebanon, Kentucky, run by brothers Stephen and Paul Beam, seventh generation descendants of the legendary Beam distilling family. The Yellowstone brand dates back to 1872, the same year its namesake national park was established, and the Beams have devoted themselves to restoring its historic reputation. Select is a small batch bourbon built from a blend of four year and seven year aged Kentucky straight bourbons, hand chosen by Master Distiller Stephen Beam to reflect the heritage of the Yellowstone name, and bottled at an easygoing 93 proof. Fittingly for a bourbon named after America's first national park, a portion of every sale is donated to the National Parks Conservation Association. It pours the color of raw honey and offers a classic bourbon nose of brown sugar, praline, toasted oak, and vanilla, with a touch of apricot and black cherry. The palate is smooth and nicely balanced, with caramel, vanilla, cherry, toffee, and a gentle kick of rye spice, clove, and cardamom, while the finish is warm and approachable with lingering oak and baking spice. Well made, versatile, and easy to enjoy at its moderate proof, Yellowstone Select is excellent neat, over ice, or as the backbone of a classic bourbon cocktail.
