Yellow Tiger Eye Spheres | In Select Sizes

These Curator's Choice Yellow Tiger Eye spheres come out of South Africa, home to some of the finest tiger eye on earth, and they bring with them one of the most captivating optical effects in the mineral world. Rotate one slowly under a light and you'll see it — a deep, silky band of gold that seems to float just beneath the surface, shifting and rolling with every turn. That phenomenon is called chatoyancy, and tiger eye might be the finest natural example of it. South African material is known for the richness of that golden color and the tightness of the cat's eye band, and these spheres are selected with both in mind — finished to a smooth, glassy polish that lets the stone do exactly what it was meant to do. In warm light they go almost amber; in cooler light the gold deepens toward bronze. The kind of piece that gets picked up by everyone who walks through the room. You will receive one Yellow Tiger Eye sphere in the size range you choose, similar to those pictured, each with its own unique pattern and coloration. Acrylic stand included.
