Carolina Jasmine

Fragrant Yellow Blooms on an Evergreen Vine This Jasmine variety is the most fragrant yellow blooming vine you can find. It has an unmistakable, sweet scent. Plant several Carolina Jasmine Vines for a scent you can smell from a distance. Blooming in early spring and again in the fall, these golden, bell-shaped flowers are just as fragrant as you'd expect from any type of Jasmine. A rapidly-growing vine, Carolina Jasmine can survive in sun or partial shade, just so long as it is planted in moist soil and receives a steady supply of moisture. The vine's green leaves will turn a brilliant bronze in the fall. Despite its need for moisture, once established this plant is fairly drought-tolerant. Like most vines, this Jasmine will quickly seek out a support structure such as a tree, fence, shrub, or even the wall of the house. Your Carolina Jasmine, also known as the Yellow Jasmine Vine, can grow to a mature length of 20 feet and a mature width of 8 feet. Note: Yellow Jasmine is poisonous - use caution when planting, and avoid placing in areas within reach of children or pets.
