Yamaha JR1

Yamaha JR1 3/4 Scale Mini Folk Guitar - Natural   This adorable, road-ready acoustic is proof that big tone can come in a small package! The Yamaha JR1 is the original compact-sized FG model, designed after the full-size FG folk series to offer an authentic acoustic sound in a smaller frame. It is the perfect guitar for a beginner with smaller hands, a student needing a manageable size, a seasoned player looking for a comfortable "couch guitar," or anyone wanting a compact travel companion. Its 3/4 size and 540 mm (21 1/4") scale length make it easy to play and incredibly portable. The JR1's voice is built on a classic foundation with a Spruce top, a choice tonewood that yields soft, clear tones and is known to open up and become richer over time. The back and sides are crafted from Meranti (referred to by Yamaha as Locally-Sourced Tonewood**), which adds volume and brightness, working in harmony with the spruce top to produce a natural and full sound despite the guitar's compact size. This combination ensures a surprisingly booming and authentic acoustic voice, perfect for strummers and fingerstyle players alike. The full-sized FG series, which the JR1 is modeled after, has been played by notable artists like Country Joe McDonald, who performed with a Yamaha FG-150 at Woodstock.   Why Buy A Guitar From Palen Music Center?   Palen Music Center has a wide range of unique guitars to enhance the sound of your music!
