D'Addario XS Mandolin Coated Phosphor Bronze Strings

D'Addario XS Mandolin Phosphor Bronze strings combine the most popular acoustic alloy with advanced string coating technology. The result is clear, balanced tone with a smooth feel and superior tuning stability—all with the longest possible string life. Thanks to the ultra-thin film coating on every wound string and unique polymer treatment on the plain steels, XS strings offer the highest level of protection for maximum life. XS also features NY Steel high carbon core and plain string wire and D'Addario's exclusive Fusion Twist for incomparable break strength and tuning stability.  In the shop, we've been impressed by the XS strings because they offer the tone and feel of an uncoated string, but with the added benefit of the ultra-thin coating for maximum string life. We're sometimes skeptical of new "cutting edge" products, but the XS has lived up the hype.   Medium gauge: .011 - .015 - .026 - .040
