Boss XS-1 Poly Shifter

Boss XS-1 Poly Shifter   The Boss XS-1 Poly Shifter redefines what a compact pitch-shifting pedal can achieve, bringing pristine, studio-quality polyphony right to your pedalboard. At its core, the XS-1 utilizes a revolutionary, proprietary BOSS algorithm built on years of expertise and a specially selected DSP platform. This advanced digital circuit employs the Adaptive Focus (AF) method, alongside high-resolution 24-bit AD and 32-bit DA conversion, ensuring an ultra-low noise floor and crystal-clear response. The tone is flawless—it maintains your instrument’s true attack and character, delivering a natural feel that is perfectly musical across fast runs, complex chords, and extreme octave jumps without the unwelcome digital artifacts common in conventional shifters. This pedal is housed in Boss’s legendary compact chassis, built like a tank to endure the rigors of any gigging schedule. Its intuitive layout features simple yet powerful controls: a SHIFT knob for selecting intervals (from semitones to three octaves up or down) and a BALANCE knob to seamlessly blend your dry signal with the shifted effect. Whether you're drop-tuning instantly for a heavier riff, or shifting up to emulate a capo for a vocalist, the XS-1 eliminates the need for instrument swaps, making key changes fast, fluid, and seamless in a live setting. Beyond simple pitch shifting, the XS-1 offers versatility through its DETUNE mode, which adds rich, subtle doubling or chorus-like textures to your sound. For maximum expressive control, the pedal features a CTL/EXP jack, allowing you to connect an external footswitch to toggle between up to three tuning settings or an expression pedal for dramatic, real-time pitch bends. The XS-1 is an indispensable tool for guitarists and bassists alike, expanding your creative range without sacrificing your fundamental tone.   Highlights   Pristine, polyphonic pitch-shifting across a wide range of +/- 7 semitones or +/- 3 full octaves.
