XLAB Mezzo Cage Pod

If you hate using saddlebags because they end up snagging your $400 bib shorts, XLAB has developed the Mezzo Cage Pod. Designed to fit snugly in a water bottle cage, the wide mouth opening and waterproof storage will solve all your repair kit needs. You can carry it on a frame cage or stick it in one of your rear hydration cages if you want to avoid causing any extra drag. It really works so well, and quickly, you’ll wonder why you’ve been fussing with bags all these years. Instead of unclipping straps and working zippers, you just grab it out of the cage, twist the top off, and have immediate access to all your repair items. And since it is waterproof, you can feel comfortable carrying things like a wallet, money clip, and even your phone in the pod. You can even fit certain tubular tires and tools. A microfleece bag is included so that any tools you do carry don’t nosily rattle around. And if you aren’t carrying anything in it because you donated a tube to a friend, it will still fit perfectly snuggly in the cage, with no fear of launching. It perfectly fits all XLAB cages since it has a complementary design to match the XLAB cages’ groove, though it will likely fit just about any cage on the market. The Mezzo Cage Pod is the larger of the two pod options from XLAB, and has a 750ml capacity. With the microfleece bag, it weighs 101g. There is no peace of mind before a ride like knowing that whatever happens, you are equipped to fix it.
