The G7250 puts full-power output in the radio itself, reducing the extra equipment, cabling, and power connections needed around the operating position. A Cleaner Station Layout Keep the display, tuning knob, buttons, and touchscreen where you operate, while placing the RF unit where it best fits the station. The split RF unit and control head give you more flexibility without turning the desk into a stack of boxes. Digital and CW Ready A built-in USB sound card and USB interface support a one-cable FT8 computer connection. CW and digital-mode tools are integrated into the radio, so CE-19 and DE-19 interfaces are not required for the G7250's supported digital-mode connectivity. Two Antennas, One Radio Keep two HF/6m antennas connected and select between them through the built-in antenna switch. The internal automatic tuner adds practical matching support without requiring another tuner on the desk in many station setups. Core Features 100W HF / 90W 6m Output Full-power operation is built into the radio: up to 100W on HF and 90W on the 50MHz band. It is a direct step up for operators who want more output than a 20W-class radio without adding a separate amplifier. Split RF Unit and Control Head The RF main unit and 7-inch control head can be positioned independently. Keep the controls within easy reach and place the RF unit where it works best for your station layout. 7-Inch Touchscreen + Physical Controls The high-resolution capacitive touchscreen makes the spectrum and waterfall easy to read, while dedicated physical buttons and an optical tuning knob remain available for the controls operators use most often. Direct RF Sampling SDR Incoming RF is converted and processed through an A/D and FPGA signal chain. Multi-stage filtering and high-Q inductors support signal selection across the covered bands. Built-In ATU with Tuning Memory The internal automatic antenna tuner covers a specified 20–150Ω matching range. A new tuning cycle completes within 10 seconds, while saved tuning parameters can be recalled in as little as 0.1 second when returning to a previously tuned band. Digital Modes Without an Extra Interface Box The integrated sound card and USB interface simplify computer connection for supported digital-mode operation, including a one-cable FT8 workflow. Keep the connection chain straightforward and the station easier to maintain. Useful Operating Tools 50Hz CW Narrow FilterFine filtering for crowded CW operation. CW and Digital-Mode DecodingIntegrated decoding tools for supported operating modes. Preset CW MessagesStore frequently used CW messages for faster repeated calling. Voice Recording and Call PlaybackRecord and replay commonly used voice calls from the radio (requires additional microSD-memory card). SWR ScanCheck antenna behavior across a frequency range directly from the radio. Noise Reduction and Noise BlankerBuilt-in DSP tools for managing unwanted noise. 1Hz Minimum Tuning StepFine frequency adjustment when it matters. FM Broadcast ReceptionReceive 78–108MHz WFM broadcast stations. The XPA125B amplifier itself supports 50–54MHz, but the G90 does not transmit on 6m; therefore the G90 + XPA125B combination does not provide 6m operation. The red button with the power symbol is the radio's main electrical power control. The PWR control adjusts RF output power. The AF/RF control handles audio volume and RF gain. What are the red and white RCA connectors on the rear panel? They are used for external amplifier control. The red RCA connector is the external ALC input, while the white RCA connector provides the SEND signal for keying a compatible external amplifier. Why does the G7250 have two SO-239 antenna ports? The two SO-239 connectors allow two antennas to remain connected to the radio and be selected through the built-in antenna switch. Both ports support the G7250's HF and 6-meter operating range. Does the G7250 support true simultaneous dual receive? No. Although the radio provides two selectable antenna connectors, it has a single receiver and cannot simultaneously monitor two different frequencies. How much transmit power does the G7250 provide? Maximum RF output is 100W on HF and 90W on the 50MHz band. Does the built-in ATU have tuning memory? Yes. The built-in tuner has a specified 20–150Ω matching range. A new tuning cycle takes up to 10 seconds, while previously stored tuning parameters can be recalled in as little as 0.1 second. Can I operate FT8 through USB? Yes. The G7250 includes a built-in sound card and USB interface designed to support a one-cable FT8 computer connection. Do I need a CE-19 or DE-19? No. The G7250 integrates the USB and audio interface functions needed for its supported digital-mode operation, so CE-19 and DE-19 are not required. Can I use the G7250 with an XPA125B? No. The G7250 is not designed for use with the Xiegu XPA125B. Does the G7250 receive FM broadcast stations? Yes. The production G7250 supports 78–108MHz WFM broadcast reception. What warranty coverage applies to a Radioddity preorder? The current Radioddity preorder offer includes a 30-month warranty from delivery. See the preorder panel above for the current terms and eligibility details.
