X-Men: Hope #1A (Marvel Comics 2010) Direct Edition

Step into the uncertain future of the X-Men with X-Men: Hope #1A (Marvel Comics 2010) Direct Edition. Written by Duane Swierczynski, with interior art and cover by Steve Dillon, this issue centers on Hope Summers—the girl who could be the mutant race's last hope or just a kid caught in the wrong timeline. Raised by mutant soldier Cable in a hostile, dying future Earth, Hope has learned hard lessons that shape her destiny. This Direct Edition gathers four thrilling untold tales from Hope's future past, pitting her against snipers, robot wolf packs, mutant rats, and even Cable himself. It's the essential entry point to understand what the X-Men's future "messiah" is made of. Reprinting the four back-up stories from Psylocke (2009 Marvel) #1, Dark X-Men (2009) #1, X-Men Legacy (2008 Marvel) #230 and X-Force (2008 3rd Series) #22, this volume condenses pivotal chapters into a single, accessible read. For the continuation of this saga, look to Cable (2008 2nd Series) #21's "Homecoming." Details: 32 pages, full color. Direct Edition. Cover price $2.99.
