X-JOINT's for post-2014 model poles only. There are 3 sizes of X-Joints; 180mm (7"), 200mm (8") & 250mm (10"). The 180mm (7") X-Joint has one half longer than the other & is marked with an arrow (on the shorter end), when used, this must be installed at the top of the pole with the arrow pointing upwards. The X-Joint features a special mechanism which expands/contracts to lock/loosen the pole tubes together. Please test this prior to assembly.
