Wusthof Performer 7" Rotoku, Hollow Edge

Wüsthof is the first knife manufacturer to offer black, fully forged, DLC-finished knives. The diamond-like carbon finish was developed to withstand the toughest conditions: the amorphous carbon layer, just a few micrometers thick, increases the surface hardness of the Wüsthof blades from 58 to a unique 104 Rockwell. This makes them resistant to acids, alkalis, extreme temperatures and general wear and tear – even scratches don't stand a chance. The dynamics of sharp knives are complemented by the slip-resistant Hexagon Power Grip. Chefs love these outstanding knives that sit perfectly in the hand and guarantee complete control, even under the most demanding working conditions. Wüsthof has been producing knives in Solingen – known as a ‘City of Blades’ – since 1814. Excellent quality, sustainable operations and innovative ideas guarantee that the production process is among the most advanced of its kind. Product Features INNOVATION - Our innovative WÜSTHOF Performer knife combines unique design with pure dynamics. This all-black, all-purpose knife from Solingen, Germany, is extremely robust and enduringly sharp – an excellent knife for perfect control ROTOKU KNIFE - A WÜSTHOF innovation, is the evolution of the classic Santoku. Fine slicing, speedy chopping, precise serving. The curved edge pairs the smooth, rocking cuts essential to a European-style chef’s knife with the unparalleled precision of an Asian-style chef’s knife. The hollows along the blade’s edge allow small air pockets to form, minimizing sticking and maximizing efficiency.  UNIQUE KNIFE - This knife extends the original “three virtues” of the traditional Santoku (named for the myriad ways it’s used for meat, fish, and vegetables) by three more core functions: chopping, serving, and transporting. The name “Rotoku” is derived from the Japanese number “roku” (“six”). Six virtues. One knife. A masterpiece of elegance and functionality. HEXAGON GRIP - Hexagon Power Grip: the novel, ergonomic handle design with its non-slip, offset honeycomb structure guarantees extreme control, enabling a firm grip on the all-purpose knife (small kitchen knife) even under demanding working conditions EASY TO USE - An easy-to-use cook’s knife (professional knife) that perfectly combines design, innovation and function – ideal for ambitious home cooks and professional chefs.
