By using merino wool (with natural antimicrobial properties,) I was able to get much more wear time in between washes during the testing phase. This is crucial because it’s one of those pieces I wear to and from the gym, pre and post surf, coaching youth sports, at the bar with friends, backpacking or while sitting on my couch in my underpants eating caramel and cheddar popcorn watching TV because it’s so damn cozy. I think you get the idea—it gets a lot of use so it’s important it doesn't get caught in the laundry vortex only to reappear weeks later in a drawer I haven't opened in months. Fit is going to be similar to the rest of the WS collection. It’s slim. It’s also elongated to compensate for any shrinkage. That being said, shrinkage was very minimal after running it through the drier which surprised me considering the fact that it’s merino wool. I’m trying to figure out another way I can use the word shrinkage...nailed it. I wore this under the WS-J02 during an early winter camping trip at Alabama Hills and was plenty warm. . Size A.
