GE Refrigerator DC Evaporator Fan Motor (WR60X10318)

The GE Refrigerator DC Evaporator Fan Motor is responsible for circulating cold air from the evaporator coils throughout the refrigerator and freezer compartments. It runs continuously during cooling cycles to maintain even temperatures, drawing air across the coils and pushing it through the internal vents to keep food properly chilled. The GE Refrigerator DC Evaporator Fan Motor can fail due to worn bearings, a burned-out motor winding, ice buildup around the fan blade, or general wear from years of continuous operation. When the motor weakens or stops, airflow is reduced or cut off entirely, causing temperature problems throughout the unit. Watch for these symptoms to help determine if the evaporator fan motor needs to be replaced: - Refrigerator or freezer not staying cold enough - Loud squealing, humming, or rattling noise coming from inside the freezer section - Fan blade is not spinning even when the compressor is running - Frost buildup on the back wall of the freezer compartment - Refrigerator runs constantly but struggles to reach the set temperature - Unusual vibration or intermittent noise that stops when the freezer door is opened - Warm spots in the fresh food section while the freezer remains cool
