GE Refrigerator DC Evaporator Fan Motor (WR60X10277)

The GE Refrigerator DC Evaporator Fan Motor powers the fan that circulates cold air from the evaporator coils throughout the fresh food and freezer compartments. It runs continuously during cooling cycles, drawing air across the evaporator and pushing it through the internal vents to maintain even temperatures throughout the refrigerator. The GE Refrigerator DC Evaporator Fan Motor can fail due to worn bearings, a burned-out motor winding, ice buildup around the fan blade, or general wear from years of constant use. When the motor weakens or stops, airflow is reduced or lost entirely, and the refrigerator can no longer cool properly even if the compressor continues to run. These symptoms may point to a failing evaporator fan motor in your refrigerator: - Refrigerator or freezer not staying cold enough - Unusual squealing, chirping, or grinding noise from inside the refrigerator - Fan blade visible but not spinning when the refrigerator is running - Frost or ice buildup on the back wall of the freezer compartment - Warm spots in certain areas while other sections stay cold - Refrigerator running constantly without reaching set temperature - Louder than normal operation from the back or interior of the unit
