GE Refrigerator Condenser Fan Motor (WR60X10220)

The GE Refrigerator Condenser Fan Motor powers the fan that pulls air across the condenser coils at the back or bottom of your refrigerator. This airflow removes heat from the refrigerant as it cycles through the system, allowing the compressor to maintain the correct temperature inside the fridge and freezer compartments. The GE Refrigerator Condenser Fan Motor can wear out over time due to dust and debris buildup on the motor bearings, prolonged running cycles, or normal wear on the motor windings. When the motor weakens or fails, the condenser cannot shed heat efficiently, which forces the compressor to work harder and can lead to cooling problems throughout the refrigerator. Look for these symptoms to help determine if the condenser fan motor needs to be replaced: - Refrigerator or freezer not cooling properly or running warmer than usual - Compressor runs constantly or for unusually long cycles - Loud humming, buzzing, or rattling noise coming from the back or bottom of the unit - Fan blade spins freely by hand but motor does not run on its own - Refrigerator shuts off or cycles on and off more frequently than normal - Visible frost or ice buildup caused by poor airflow over the coils - Refrigerator feels warm on the outside near the compressor area
