GE Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor (WR60X10008)

The GE Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor powers the fan that circulates cold air from the evaporator coils throughout the freezer and refrigerator compartments. It runs continuously during cooling cycles, drawing air across the evaporator coils and pushing it through the vents to maintain even temperatures throughout the unit. The GE Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor can fail due to worn bearings, ice buildup around the fan blade, electrical burnout, or simply normal wear over years of constant use. When the motor weakens or stops, cold air can no longer circulate properly, causing temperatures to rise even though the compressor may still be running. Look for these symptoms to help determine if the evaporator fan motor needs to be replaced: - Refrigerator or freezer is warmer than the set temperature - Unusual squealing, chirping, or grinding noise coming from the back of the freezer - Fan blade is not spinning when the refrigerator door is open and the compressor is running - Frost or ice buildup around the fan area in the freezer compartment - Compressor runs continuously but the refrigerator does not cool adequately - Refrigerator cycles on and off more frequently than usual - No airflow felt through the vents inside the refrigerator or freezer
