GE Freezer Door Gasket (WR14X36194)

The GE Freezer Door Gasket is the flexible rubber seal that runs along the edge of the freezer door, creating an airtight closure when the door is shut. It keeps cold air inside the freezer compartment and prevents warm, humid air from entering, which helps your refrigerator maintain consistent temperatures and run efficiently. A GE freezer door gasket can deteriorate over time from regular use, exposure to temperature changes, food residue buildup, or physical damage from being pulled or bent. When the seal weakens, cracks, or loses its shape, it can no longer hold a proper closure, forcing the refrigerator to work harder to maintain the set temperature. Look for these symptoms to help determine if the freezer door gasket needs to be replaced: - Frost or ice buildup inside the freezer, especially near the door edges - Freezer or refrigerator compartment not staying cold enough - Refrigerator runs constantly or cycles on more frequently than usual - Visible cracks, tears, or stiff spots in the door seal - Condensation or moisture forming around the freezer door frame - Door does not feel like it seals firmly when closed - Higher than normal energy bills without another clear cause
