The Whirlpool Water Valve controls the flow of water into your refrigerator. It opens and closes to send water to the ice maker, the water dispenser, or both, based on signals from the appliance. This valve can fail when mineral scale builds up inside it, when internal seals wear, or when the solenoid coil burns out. It can also leak if debris prevents it from closing fully.
