Whirlpool Hidden Bake Element (WPW10276482)

The Whirlpool Hidden Bake Element is the lower heating component in your oven that generates the heat needed for baking and roasting. Unlike an exposed coil, this element is concealed beneath the oven floor, providing even heat distribution while keeping the bottom of the oven easy to clean. The Whirlpool Hidden Bake Element can fail over time due to normal wear, power surges, or heating and cooling cycles that cause the element to crack or burn out internally. Because the element is hidden, damage is not always visible, making it harder to diagnose without checking for uneven baking or a lack of bottom heat. These symptoms may indicate your bake element needs to be replaced: - Oven takes much longer than usual to reach the set temperature - Food is undercooked or unevenly cooked on the bottom - Oven fails to heat at all when set to bake - Oven heats correctly on broil but not on bake - Error codes related to the bake circuit appear on the control panel - Oven cycles on and off more frequently than normal during baking
