Woven Jute Basket

A low wide bowl woven in natural jute, 16 inches across and only 7 high, so it reads as a shape rather than a bin. Most baskets are tall because they are storage; this one is proportioned to be looked at, which makes it useful on surfaces where a tall basket would be absurd. More in home decor. On a floor beside a chair it holds one folded blanket and looks deliberate. Under a console it fills the dead space that otherwise collects shoes. Jute is the texture that rescues a room of flat painted surfaces and smooth wood. It goes with everything and costs less than doing the same job with upholstery. More in living room. Care Vacuum or brush out dust Spot clean with a barely damp cloth and air dry fully Do not soak; jute weakens when saturated Use a liner for soil or anything damp Keep out of prolonged direct sun to limit fading
