Fall Picnic Blanket Woven

Not just for picnics! Think of how cozy this simple blanket will feel over your knees or shoulders on cold nights when you're saving energy and the thermostat is set low. The plain weave structure shows off the heathered Harrisville shades to full advantage. Slight fulling brings out the softness and warmth. Halcyon Yarn customer Phyllis Ha considers herself a beginning weaver but after seeing her blanket and noting her careful attention to detail and finishing we decided she's got more skill than she was giving herself credit for – lots of weavers would love to weave it themselves! We asked Phyllis to create a pattern so you can do just that! Also beautiful in Victorian 2-Ply wool!
