Pakistani Wool Pakol

The pakol, also called the Chitrali cap or Afghan cap, is a traditional wool hat originating in the mountain regions of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and northern India. Worn for centuries by Pashtun, Nuristani, and Chitrali peoples, it became globally recognized during the Soviet-Afghan War when mujahideen fighters made it a symbol of the resistance. Today it's prized by military surplus collectors, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who wants a genuinely warm, durable, and historically rich piece of headwear. Our Pakistani wool pakols are made from 100% natural wool, hand-crafted in Pakistan by artisans using traditional methods. The rolled brim can be worn up for a more structured profile or folded down to cover the ears in cold weather. One size fits most, with the brim roll allowing natural adjustment. Why wool? Wool regulates temperature naturally, staying warm when wet and cool in mild conditions. A pakol is genuinely functional cold-weather headwear, not just a collectible — it's earned its place in some of the world's most demanding mountain climates. Available in multiple colorways including black, tan, rust, copper, slate, beige, clay, white, and grey heather. Makes an excellent addition to any military surplus collection, a practical outdoor hat, or a distinctive everyday wear piece. 100% natural wool construction Traditional hand-rolled adjustable brim One size fits most adults Authentic Pakistani craftsmanship Worn by militaries and civilians across Central and South Asia
