Wool Melange Hatteras

Our Hatteras is defined by its impeccable stitching and sense of bold simplicity. Made from high-quality 100% wool melange, it has a classic appearance that brings sophisticated, understated style wherever you go.  The eight-panel construction and sewn-down brim are traditional features inspired by the iconic newsboy cap, which in turn took its cues from the Scottish bonnet-style hats and Irish flat caps worn by farmers and laborers of the 14th-century. When those same workers eventually immigrated to the U.S.A. they brought their hats with them, which quickly caught on. A favorite of American jazz legends since the early 1900s, the Hatteras is a cap rooted in history. Equally at home in the field or in the city, the Hatteras epitomizes Stetson’s commitment to craft and celebrates the intrepid spirit. 8 Panel Construction Sewn-Down Brim Cotton Sweatband 100% Wool Imported
