Wool Lined WWII American Tanker Jacket Z21821N

The iconic look of the WWII American Tanker jacket for men is as desired today as it was over 75 years ago when issued by the U.S. Army. Originally designed as the jacket of a 3-piece winter combat uniform including pants, and helmet for armored vehicle and tank crewmen gave it its classic name. Although designed for armored crews the jackets would become wildly popular with American G.I.s and airmen alike. Its comfort, functionality, and fashionable look made it popular with soldiers in the field, as well as legendary General Officers such as Patton, Bradley, and Eisenhower.  It was also a favorite of many USAAF pilots, especially fighter pilots who found the wool-lined US Army Tanker Jacket was a great cold weather alternative to the heavier B-3 bomber jackets, or their lighter weight A-2 bomber jackets.  The Cockpit USA WWII American Tanker Jacket has all the great features that made the original a classic including its 100% Cotton fabric shell, and the Olive Green Melton Wool lining to keep its wearer warm. The iconic US Army Tanker Jacket’s vintage military style is the perfect functional and fashionable jacket, easy to style with just about any look you might choose. Proudly Made in the USA.
