Woodward Juniper Tree

Stunning Vertical Architecture for Your Landscape The Woodward Juniper is a striking columnar evergreen that brings architectural elegance to any landscape. This Rocky Mountain native features a naturally narrow, upright form that makes it perfect for tight spaces, accent plantings, or creating living screens and windbreaks. Its soft, feathery blue-green foliage maintains its vibrant color throughout all four seasons, providing reliable visual interest even in winter when other plants fade. Exceptionally hardy and drought-tolerant once established, the Woodward Juniper thrives in full sun and well-draining soil. It requires minimal maintenance, rarely needing pruning, and resists pests and diseases that plague other ornamentals. This low-maintenance performer adapts to various soil conditions and handles cold winters with ease, making it an ideal choice for challenging climates and water-conscious gardeners. Whether you're designing a modern landscape, creating a privacy screen, or adding vertical interest to a foundation planting, the Woodward Juniper delivers year-round beauty with virtually no fuss. Its compact growth habit and refined appearance make it a favorite among landscape designers and homeowners seeking reliable, elegant solutions.  Planting & Care 1. Planting: Choose a location with full sun and well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice as wide and as deep as the root ball. Gently loosen the roots, place the tree in the hole, and backfill with native soil. Water thoroughly after planting and apply mulch to retain soil moisture. 2. Watering: During the first growing season, water regularly to help the plant establish a strong root system. Once established, Woodward is highly drought-tolerant and will only need occasional deep watering during prolonged dry spells. Avoid overwatering or allowing the soil to remain soggy. 3. Fertilizing: Feed in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer formulated for evergreens. Fertilizing once per year is usually sufficient.  4. Pruning: Minimal pruning is required to maintain its natural columnar shape. If desired, lightly prune in early spring before new growth appears to shape or remove any damaged or wayward branches.
