Shorts Care & Maintenance | NoGi State of Mind Your NoGi shorts are built to endure the toughest training sessions, but keeping them in top condition requires a little care. Whether you're rolling or grinding through drills, follow these simple maintenance tips to ensure your shorts last and keep performing at their best. 1. Machine Wash in Cold Water: Wash your shorts in cold water with a mild detergent. Cold water helps preserve the fabric's integrity and prevents color fading. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals that can break down the fibers and weaken the material. 2. Air Dry Only: Never tumble dry your shorts. High heat can cause the fabric to shrink or lose its elasticity, which will impact fit and comfort. Lay them flat to dry or hang them in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight to preserve their shape and durability. 3. Hand Wash for Extra Longevity: For the gentlest treatment, consider hand washing your shorts. This reduces friction and wear from the washing machine, allowing the fabric to maintain its stretch and flexibility over time. 4. Storage Tips: Store your shorts in a cool, dry place after each training session. Ensure they’re fully dry before putting them away to prevent any moisture buildup. Avoid storing them in tight spaces to keep the material from getting misshapen. 5. Avoid Rough Surfaces: While your shorts are designed to handle the grind, they’ll last longer if you avoid excessive friction with abrasive surfaces. Be mindful of rough mats or sharp objects that could cause snags or tears in the fabric. With these simple care steps, your NoGi shorts will continue to provide the freedom and comfort you need to perform at your best, session after session.
