Women's Solid Color Cardigan Sweater Coat

A long open cardigan cut closer to a coat than a sweater — it hangs straight, falls well below the hip, and is knitted heavily enough at roughly 540 grams to hold its own line rather than collapsing at the shoulder the way a soft cardigan does. The sleeve is a conventional set-in sleeve rather than a dropped or batwing cut, which keeps the shoulder defined and stops the whole garment reading as shapeless despite the length. The knit is polyester, so it holds shape and colour through washing and resists the stretching-out that afflicts long natural-fibre cardigans at the elbow and hem. It has no fastening and is meant to be worn open over whatever is underneath, which is what makes it useful as a layer over both a dress and a jean-and-tee combination. Two colours are stocked here — apricot and brown, both warm neutrals — in sizes S through XXL.
