Wolf Tooth Aluminum Single Speed Cog

Wolf Tooth Aluminum Single Speed Cog is a lightweight solution for riders building a performance-focused singlespeed drivetrain. Precision-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, this cog delivers reliable engagement, clean power transfer, and minimal rotational weight—ideal for riders who prioritize efficiency and responsiveness. Designed with extra tall teeth, the cog improves chain retention, particularly when used with chain tensioners. The profile keeps the chain securely engaged under load while maintaining smooth pedaling feel. The cog is also reversible, allowing riders to extend service life by flipping it when wear develops. A wide 4.5mm base distributes load across the freehub splines, reducing the risk of gouging or damage—especially important for aluminum freehub bodies. While optimized for lightweight performance, this aluminum singlespeed cog maintains the durability expected from Wolf Tooth’s USA-made components. Compatibility Freehub: Shimano Hyperglide-style splines (geared or singlespeed). Not Compatible: Shimano Microspline or SRAM XD freehubs. Chain Compatibility: 9, 10, 11-speed chains and most 12-speed chains including SRAM Eagle, Shimano HG+, KMC, Wipperman, and Connex. Not Compatible With: Single speed specific chains, SRAM 12-speed Transmission (T-Type), SRAM Road Flattop, or Campagnolo Ekar 13-speed chains.
