Wolf Doormat #5 | Wolf Welcome Mat

Powerful, instinct-driven, and endlessly captivating — the Grey Wolf (Canis lupus) is one of the most iconic and widely studied wild animals on earth. Once roaming across most of the Northern Hemisphere, the wolf has been revered, feared, and mythologised by cultures from the Norse to the Native American for thousands of years. Known by many names — Timber Wolf, Grey Wolf, Lone Wolf, Canis Lupus, Big Bad Wolf, Ghost of the Forest, Howler, Apex Predator, Pack Leader, Lupine, Brother Wolf, Grey Stalker — the wolf is the ultimate symbol of wild intelligence, pack loyalty, and untamed freedom. Wolves live and hunt in highly organised family packs, communicate across vast distances through howling, and were the ancestors of every domestic dog alive today. This Wolf Doormat #5 features a striking Grey Wolf illustration that replaces the letter O in the word HOME, creating a design that’s both bold and deeply evocative. It’s made for wildlife lovers, wolf enthusiasts, and anyone who wants their front door to carry the spirit of the wild. Looking for Wolf doormats? Frequently Asked Questions Who is this doormat designed for? This doormat is designed for wolf lovers, wildlife enthusiasts, and anyone who has a genuine appreciation for the Grey Wolf — one of nature’s most intelligent and awe-inspiring predators. Whether you call it a Timber Wolf, a Lone Wolf, or simply the Ghost of the Forest, this mat is a fitting welcome for homes that celebrate the wild. What makes this doormat unique? Rather than a standard printed mat, this design features a Grey Wolf illustration that replaces the letter O in the word HOME — a bold, nature-inspired detail that makes the design feel intentional and personal. The natural coir construction gives it an earthy, textured finish that suits the subject beautifully, and the design is printed to stay vivid through regular use. What sizes are available? This coir doormat is available in three sizes: 16"x24" (41x61cm), 18"x30" (46x76cm), and 24"x36" (61x91cm). The 18"x30" is the most popular choice for standard front doors, while the 24"x36" suits wider entryways and double doors. This coir doormat is best suited to sheltered or covered outdoor spaces such as a porch, canopy, or recessed entryway where it won’t be exposed to direct rain or standing water. Prolonged moisture can degrade natural coir fibers over time. If you need a mat for a fully exposed outdoor space, take a look at our all-weather version of this design. What is the mat made from? This doormat is made from natural coir fiber — the coarse, durable material derived from coconut husks — with a heavy-duty non-slip rubber backing. Coir is a traditional doormat material prized for its ability to scrape and trap dirt effectively at the threshold. It’s a natural, biodegradable choice for those who prefer materials that come from the earth. Is this a good gift for a wolf lover? Absolutely — this mat makes a thoughtful and distinctive gift for anyone who loves wolves or the natural world. It’s practical, durable, and carries a design that feels personal rather than off-the-shelf. Tag us @pupularmats and show us your Grey Wolf mat at the front door.
