Commonly called "dyer's woad. Since ancient times, woad was grown and cultivated throughout Europe as a source for blue dye before being replaced with indigo. It is commonly believed the Picts would paint their bodies with blue woad dye before going into battle. **Our Woad is imported directly from Europe. This is a highly concentrated woad powder. (Not a full bottle. See picture #2 for amount in bottle.) Mix water directly in bottle to create woad ink. Darkness of ink will depend on how much water is added.
