W'mens Tank - Sienna Brown

W'Menswear was founded by Lauren Yates in 2015, born out of a desire to produce high-quality, heritage-inspired garments for women — with a nuanced and ever-evolving perspective on femininity at the intersections of fashion, workwear, military garments, and history. Originally operating out of a converted shipping container in Bangkok, the brand has grown substantially with each new collection, employing specialty and custom fabrics as well as partnering with local workshops and artisans. The Spring/Summer 2025 collection is titled "Spinning For A Revolution," and draws inspiration from early women's cycling apparel, suffragette cyclists from the late 1800s, and the writings of Dervla Murphy — whose stories detailed her solo bicycle journey from Ireland to India in the early '60s. Following its invention, women began to enjoy unexpected new freedom through bicycle travel, allowing them to access social spheres and spaces outside of the home, and freeing them from the restrictive dress norms of the era. A slightly more femme take on the classic muscle tee, the W'mens Tank takes inspiration from 20th century sleeveless swim tops, which "scandalously" displayed the entire arm. It's got a thick knit collar, wide shoulders, and a flat hem, with a slightly cropped torso for a more breezy fit - and carries the spirit of trailblazing female athletes that were bold enough to bare their entire arms 100 years ago. It's made from a super soft 100% American cotton knit that clocks in at a comfortable medium weight. Pleasantly dense, it's got just enough structure without being stiff — draping easily but still holding a general t-shape. Initially quite plush, it will continue to soften with time as the knit relaxes further. Fits true to size.
