W'mens Tank - Natural Cotton/Hemp

W'Menswear was founded by Lauren Yates in 2015, born out of a desire to produce high-quality, heritage-inspired garments for women — with a nuanced and ever-evolving perspective on femininity at the intersections of fashion, workwear, military garments, and history. Originally operating out of a converted shipping container in Bangkok, the brand has grown substantially with each new collection, employing specialty and custom fabrics as well as partnering with local workshops and artisans. The Spring/Summer 2026 collection, "She Rode the Dawn," takes inspiration from the earliest days of women's motorcycle culture, celebrating the female dispatch riders of WWII. These pioneering women proved invaluable to the Allied war effort, racing across dark and dangerous roads under threat of German bombs to ensure that vital information got where it needed. The styles pull from military and motorcycle influences, pairing utilitarian details with more feminine silhouettes and unique, premium textiles. A slightly more femme take on the classic muscle tee, the W'mens Tank takes inspiration from 20th century sleeveless swim tops, which "scandalously" displayed the entire arm. It's got a thick knit collar, wide shoulders, and a flat hem, with a slightly cropped torso for a more breezy fit - and carries the spirit of trailblazing female athletes that were bold enough to bare their entire arms 100 years ago. It's made from a blend of 80% cotton and 20% hemp yarns, giving you both the softness and comfort of cotton, as well as the texture and airflow of hemp. On top of that, hemp adds a bit of structure and durability to the knit thanks to its long staple length and strong fibres, breathing well in hotter weather and drying fairly quickly. The fabric was also selected with sustainability in mind, as hemp can be grown in hotter environments and requires less irrigation and fertilizer than cotton. Fits true to size.
